It’s September so it must be time for the Croyde trip again!

Lizzie’s Steampunk Assassin 30th birthday

After much deliberation, Lizzie decided on a “steampunk assassin” theme for her thirtieth birthday party.  Once the theme was announced, construction of costumes and decorations began.  Lizzie got very excited when she ordered a bespoke cake from Glitter and Sparkle Cakes with a steampunk theme.

Cropredy 2012

Just a quick post this time to get the photos from Cropredy festival online for those who were there with us.  We all had a wonderful time but it was very hot and we had to go and hide from the sun quite a lot.  Look out for the pictures of John getting all his hair chopped off by Dave!

Dave and Ellie Piper’s wedding – part 2

After I realised that my last post covering this wedding was getting far too long, I decided the “official” photographs would be a good break point.  This post covers the group pictures taken just before the reception, the meal, the speeches and the dancing afterwards.  Enjoy!

Dave and Ellie Piper’s wedding

David Piper and Ellie Shardlow were married in a Humanist ceremony at The Priest’s House, Barden Tower, Yorkshire.  I was lucky enough to be invited.

Tipi Adventure

Helen and Aimee organised a trip down the river Wye in canoes staying overnight in a tipi.  They needed an extra person and I jumped at the chance to accompany them.

Dave Piper’s Stag Do

For Dave’s stag do, the best man James arranged for a group of us to take a trip on Dave’s narrow boat to the Long Itchington Beer Festival thus combining Dave’s loves of beer and boating.

Nottingham Christmas 2009

The first Christmas for a while where I’ve had enough space in my own house to host.  As usual I provided dinner for everyone (about 18 I think) and then afterwards we had secret santa and then games and drinks until people got bored and started to go home.

Kevin’s 30th birthday

Kevin’s 30th was a very posh affair.  We were all instructed to dress smart and to come prepared to talk about grown up things such as children, schools and mortgages.

Lizzie’s Silly Birthday

Lizzie decided to celebrate her birthday this year by also celebrating all things silly. There were obstacle courses, a den, silly games, a poop chart and of course jelly.  We were told that “anything goes as long as it is silly!” Sillyness was expected in dress, food, behaviour, games and every other aspect of the evening.
